One week down!

Ok, so it's not the best picture in the world but I'm sure I'll improve and it tasted delicious.

This was my Chinese Fakeaway. Everyone else in the house had ordered from the local Chinese and I didn't see why I should miss out!! It's kind of like Crispy Turkey in OK Sauce or at least that's what I thought.

So after my first week I am pleased to say that I managed to lose 6 1/2 lbs. I am following the Slimming World plan but not attending groups for the support as I'm an online member. I do have a couple of friends who are also following the plan so that helps as we motivate each other. I have to say it wasn't as traumatic as I thought it would be this week. I haven't felt hungry once this week as you can eat lots!! it just has to be from a certain range of free foods (with the odd syn thrown in of course). I also think that because I'd been preparing myself to start on a certain date that I was mentally ready for it, oh and that the scales actually let out a huge cry when I stepped on them.


I have even started having breakfast which is not something I would often do. So by lunchtime I would be picking at unhealthy foods to satisfy my hunger pangs followed by a lunch that was not what you'd call a rounded meal. Then dinner would be at about 10 -10.30pm and straight to bed. I'm still working on having dinner earlier but having breakfast at a reasonable time and then having a healthy lunch does get me through to dinnertime without picking at anything. And I can honestly say I haven't had any cravings for anything sweet between meals. Knowing that If I want something between meals I can is helpful too


I am planning on trying to add a recipe or two each week that I have developed, adapted or just really enjoyed. Please bear with me and be kind as I'm new to all this and it might take a bit of time to perfect these things.
